CLINICAL INDICATION
Known right lower lobe pulmonary nodule. ?Interval progression.
TECHNIQUE
Non-contrast CT chest.
FINDINGS
There is a subpleural solid pulmonary nodule in the right lower lobe, measuring 5.3 mm in maximal axial diameter, increased from 4.1 mm on 22 January 2025 and 3.2 mm on 15 January 2024.
No further suspicious pulmonary nodules. Lungs are otherwise clear.
Normal heart size. No pericardial effusion. No coronary artery calcification.
Normal calibre of the aorta and pulmonary trunk. No mediastinal lymphadenopathy.
Visualised upper abdomen is unremarkable. No acute rib fracture.
IMPRESSION
1. Interval growth of the known right lower lobe pulmonary nodule — suspicious for malignancy; recommend multidisciplinary discussion and consideration of biopsy / PET-CT per Fleischner.
2. Otherwise unremarkable CT chest.
